It’s official. The holidays are in full swing, and we never miss a holiday open house, a light lighting, or a cookie tray if we can help it. So we’re marking our calendars for this Thursday, December 5th, when the Baltimore Historical Society will host a debut party for Lady Baltimore (the iconic statue) and a Holiday Open House in conjunction with the Baltimore Monument lighting. In attendance will be Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake, speaking about the 190-year old Lady Baltimore statue and its significance to our city. And of course, it wouldn’t be a holiday open house without cookies, cider, hot cocoa, and a Christmas carol sing-a-long.
