Maybe on Friday you heard this strange, high-pitched hum/squeal/sigh-of-relief/shout-of-jubilation throughout the city. That was every Baltimorean who sews, knits, crochets, felts, weaves, spins yarn, or otherwise involves themselves in fabric or fiber arts. Why the exultant shout? Well, Friday was the day when Baltimore Threadquarters threw open their doors, making so many fabulous (and hard to find) tools and supplies available to Baltimore crafters and artisans. Handmade buttons? Check. Vintage fiber arts supplies? Check. Spinning tools? Yarn for the discerning knitter? A super-inspiring list of events and classes? Check, check, check, check, check.
