A little mid-August relief is on the way. Next week, you don’t have to be jealous of Delaware any longer.
From August 14-20, Marylanders can shop without having to pay sales tax. The break applies to any clothing or footwear that costs less than $100. The tax free week is happening just in time for back-to-school shopping to kick into full gear.
The week was implemented by the legislature to help local businesses. It also has a trickle-down effect. According to ABC2, Chipotle is celebrating the week by giving away free chips and guacamole.
