A Towson High School teacher is accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a 17-year-old female student, according to Baltimore County police.
Richard James Hanna, 36, was arrested following an investigation that began on May 14. Police found that Hanna drove the student to and from school. He also drove her to Cromwell Valley Park, Roland Park and Wymann Park.
Police allege that the relationship became physical in May, when Hanna kissed and touched the student in inappropriate areas. In a news release, police said they reviewed texts and e-mails, and did not find any evidence that the relationship involved sex.
Hanna was released from prison on $10,000 bail, police said.
