The much-beloved Kinetic Sculpture Race has been successfully rescheduled! It’s now on for Sunday, June 14th. And it takes a whole lot of help to make it go! Want to get in on the action (and have a blast) without having to help pedal a gigantic poodle on wheels? Of course you do. Dress funny, get muddy, and help one of the most fun events of the year go off without a hitch. Attend a volunteer meeting this week and see what it’s all about! From the official call out from AVAM, here’s who they’re looking for: “General Anything Doers! Crowd Engagers! Number Nerds! Experienced Boaters! Medics on Wheels! Clean-up Crews! Safety Inspectors! Race Facilitators! Mud Pitters! Kops! Checkpoint Charlies! Canton Water Clean-up Crew! Finish Line Holders! And more!” Think you could handle at least one of these jobs? Attend the meeting this Wednesday, and get the full scoop. The folks who put this on really know how to have a good time– so no matter how much anything-doing you’re asked to do, or how muddy the mud pit gets, we’re pretty sure it’s going to be a hoot.
The Kinetic Sculpture Race volunteer meeting is Wednesday, May 27 from 6:30pm-8:30pm at the American Visionary Arts Museum. For more information, visit www.avam.org.
