October 25 @ 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm
“The Morality of Health Care”
Affordable health care is on everyone’s mind, from seniors on a fixed income to twenty-somethings not yet fully grounded in the workforce… What do I do about a family member’s pre-existing condition or the impact of skyrocketing prescription drug prices? Is medical care suffering because of the voices in Washington? Is health care a right or a privilege? What are the ethical or financial implications of medical research? Be a part of this important conversation.
Join experts including Vinny DeMarco (Maryland Health Care for All! Coalition), Lynell Medley (Healthcare Access Maryland), David Simon (Maryland Hospital Association), Phyllis Hall and Jim Gilbart (Baltimore County Dept. of Health), representatives from Healthcare for the Homeless, a special appearance by Senator Ben Cardin, and more.
Light fare at 6:00 p.m.; Note program start time is 6:30 p.m. for this evening only.
