Another week, another Baltimore travel article from the national press. Do they mention hons? Yes, yes they do. Beehive hairdos? Check. Do they mention The Wire? Yep, in the very first sentence. Is the word “quirky” mentioned? Inevitably.
Cliches aside, the AP’s picks for a weekend in Baltimore are pretty astute. They want you visit the Robert Long House, the Poe grave, and painted screens in Highlandtown. And to be honest, I had no idea that Babe Ruth was born here–the tip to visit his birthplace was one that I actually took note of.
