Baltimore’s bike share is set to debut this fall. But a little midweek sneak peek is coming Wednesday.
For those who can get a little free time, the city is hosting a Bike Share Demo Day on Wednesday, August 24. The event is set to run from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Baltimore Station (140 W. Street).
Bikes will be available to try out from the city’s fleet of 500 two-wheelers. The city is set to offer Bewegen bicycles, which will include 200 bikes with electric pedal-assist technology, for short-term rental. Initially, the program will roll out with 50 stations in an area bounded by Charles North, Canton, Union Square and Locust Point.
Along with the bikes, there will also be BBQ.
