A North Carolina state trooper clocked Ravens cornerback Victor Hampton at 100 miles per hour as he drove his Camaro convertible through a 55 mph zone on Interstate 77 in Charlotte.
Investigators said Hamptonโs blood-alcohol level was .10 (.02 over the limit). He was arrested for driving while impaired, speeding, reckless driving, and open container charges. Two passengers were cited for carrying a concealed weapon, carrying a weapon after consuming alcohol, and open container charges.
Hampton has not yet played a game for the Ravens. And Baltimore Beatdown writer Jason Butt thinks he probably never will, now that the organization is taking off-field behavior more seriously.
Well, he may never have actually played for us, but he added to one increasingly scrutinized team stat: offseason arrests.
