Fresh off the release of the documentary โRolling Thunder Revue: A Bob Dylan Story by Martin Scorseseโ and a corresponding 14-disc box set, the legendary folk singer Bob Dylan is going back on the road.
The tour, which includes a number of shows at major colleges and universities, stops at the UMBC Events Center on Nov. 12. Tickets go on sale Sept. 19 at 10 a.m.
As Rolling Stone notes, the original Rolling Thunder Revue saw Dylan and a group that included Joan Baez, Roger McGuinn and Ramblinโ Jack Elliottโand one-off appearances by the likes of Ringo Starr, Patti Smith and Joni Mitchellโplaying smaller venues with little notice in 1975 and 1976.
Sandwiched in the middle of the tour was the release of Dylanโs 17th album, โDesire,โ which includes such favorites as โHurricaneโ and โSara.โ Some of the extensive footage captured on the tour ended up in the 1978 film project โRenaldo and Clara.โ
Dylanโs most recent studio album, โTriplicate,โ was released in 2017.
