Jessica Davis, an organizer with the Free State Coalition, told Baltimore Fishbowl on Friday that they were expecting between 1,100 and 1,600 people for Saturday’s rally at Baltimore City Hall. On Monday, she estimated that between 3,000 to 5,000 people turned out for the event. The organizers of the Baltimore City rally will meet later today to discuss next steps.

By midday Friday, about 600 people had signed up for a Saturday demonstration in front of U.S. Rep. Andy Harrisโ office in Bel Air, Maryland, Ronnie T. Davis, chair of the Harford Democratic Club and organizer with Indivisible, told Baltimore Fishbowl on Friday. They had expected as many as 1,000 people to show up for the protest.
Not only were demonstrations held in each of the 50 states, supporters in other nations held rallies in solidarity with those in this country voicing their staunch opposition, fear, and resolve to stop moves they see as authoritarian and fascistic.
Fishbowl will update numbers for protests and locations as we receive them.
