Ladew Topiary Gardens’ annual Garden Festival will return for its 17th year on May 3, with vendors showcasing an array of plants and garden decor.
The Garden Festival will take place rain or shine from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 3. Tickets to the festival can also be purchased on the Ladew Topiary Gardens website.
The festival will feature at least 30 vendors, including new additions and returning faces.
Artworks by current and past Ladew artists-in-residence will be available to view and purchase. Among this year’s featured artists are sculptor Walter T. Matia and photographer Paula Reynolds.
“Ladew’s Garden Festival is the premier outdoor shopping experience for garden enthusiasts in the Mid-Atlantic region. We are thrilled with this year’s curated selection of vendors that offer a stunning array of plants, trees, antiques, and garden décor,” said Emily Emerick, executive director of Ladew Gardens, in a statement. “We invite everyone to join us, find unique additions for their gardens and homes, and be part of something truly special, all while supporting Ladew’s mission.”
Proceeds from Garden Festival ticket sales will benefit the preservation of Ladew’s 22 acres of topiary gardens, the historic Manor House, the native Butterfly House, the Children’s Environmental Education Programs that serve almost 4,000 children annually, and more than 100 events and educational programs that Ladew offers to the community.
Preceding the festival, a Garden Festival Preview Party & Shopping event will be open from 5 to 8 p.m. May 2 to “Friends of the Festival.” Preview Party attendees will also get access to the Garden Festival on May 3. Individuals can become a Friend of the Festival at various tier levels on Ladew’s website.
Ladew Topiary Gardens is located at 3535 Jarrettsville Pike in Monkton, Maryland.
