Fells Point Corner Theatre (FPCT) has announced their 2025/26 season, and along with thrilling, laughs-inducing, and contemplative plays, audiences can expect community events and FPCTโs Salon Series, which acts as an incubator for new local work.
FPCT has served the community for 38 seasons, bringing myriad and diverse theatrical experiences to Baltimore. There have been acclaimed premieres, exciting local originals, and beloved audience favorites. Their new season lineup shows no signs of slowing down, as they continue to push the boundaries of live theater in Baltimore.
The 2025/2026 season will see three Main Stage productions. โTrouble in Mindโ by groundbreaking playwright Alice Childress, โDance Nationโ by Pulitzer Prize Finalist Claire Barron, and โMiss Holmes Returnsโ a Baltimore premiere by Christopher M. Walsh, directed by FPCTโs managing director, Brad Norris.
MAIN STAGE PRODUCTIONS
โTrouble in Mindโ runs from Nov. 7โ30, 2025. Childressโ play first ran in 1955 and found critical and popular success. The story centers on a Black actress who has been cast in an anti-lynching play set to open on Broadway. The playwright, director, and stage manager, however, are each white, and theyโre not as enlightened as they think, as the multi-generational Black actors in the cast know.
โAs the rehearsal process unfolds, theatre conventions and racial politics collide, resulting in a surprisingly funny yet deeply piercing look at the entertainment industry,โ reads the press release. The playโs theme remains unfortunately relevant in todayโs times.
โDance Nationโ runs from Feb. 13โMarch 8, 2026. Barronโs off-Broadway hit about dance teen angst was a Pulitzer Prize Finalist and critical darling. Imagine somewhere in America, an army of pre-teen competitive dancers plotting to take over the world! Their new routine is the vehicle, and the Nationals in Tampa Bay is the speedway in this play about ambition, growing up, and finding our souls. The blood, sweat, and tears get very real as the competition heats up in this drama about friendship, rivalry, and girls becoming women.
The New York Times declared Barron โinsanely talented,โ and described Dance Nation as possessing โthe passionate ambivalence of early adolescence with such being-there sharpness and poignancy that youโre not sure whether to cringe, cry or roar with happiness.โ
โMiss Holmes Returnsโ runs from April 24โMay 17, 2026. FPCT is bringing back the original cast members from its wildly successful run of the Baltimore Premiere of โMiss Holmesโ in 2024 for the sequel! Sharon Maguire and Emma Grace Dunbar return as the classic duo-with-a-twist, Miss Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Dorothy Watson, women in a Victorian-era England not quite ready for them to take on โmenโs work.โ Theyโve now gained quite a reputation after playing the game for several years in the sequel, so when a nurse and activist must go on the run, accused of murder and threatened by sinister criminal figures? Naturally, she turns to Miss Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Dorothy Watson.
โWe were just a couple weeks into rehearsal for the first one when Sharon and Emma found out that Chris (Walsh) had written a sequel,โ Norris said. โFrom then on, I donโt think a week went by without the question โWeโre gonna do the sequel, right?โ So weโre all pretty excited to step back into this world and have another adventure together.โ
