Martin Oโ€™Malley isnโ€™t even out of office yet, but heโ€™s moving up the ranks of civilian life pretty quickly. In just two weeks, he went from blogger to print author, then quickly added the role of public speaker. And, as of Friday, heโ€™s already a full-on professor โ€” and itโ€™s not in the department that you might think.

The outgoing governor will join Johns Hopkins University as a professor, according to the JHU Hub. Instead of talking campaign strategy in the political science department, though, heโ€™ll be bringing all the -Stats to the Carey Business School.

Oโ€™Malley will be a Visiting Professor, which presumably leaves time for those speaking engagements, any presidential campaign planning that might come up and maybe even a little Irish rock. At the school, Oโ€™Malley will be working with students and faculty in the areas of โ€œleadership, infrastructure, entrepreneurship and ethics,โ€ according to the Hub. Heโ€™ll also be a member of the universityโ€™s 21st Century Cities Initiative, which focuses on growing Baltimore.

โ€œI look forward to sharing management insights from these past two decades with the next generation of leaders at Johns Hopkins,โ€ Oโ€™Malley said.

Get ready students, because there will probably also be some selfies.
