Drinking outside is great, and it’s better when there’s music. Good thing outdoor concert season beckons. On May 7, WTMD’s First Thursday concert series is back.
The first-Thursday-of-the-month run returns to Canton Waterfront Park this year. Last year, the series moved from Mt. Vernon. WMTD General Manager Steve Yasko has said the station’s organizers found room to grow in Canton, and plan on continuing to expand in the new Southeast Baltimore home.
The first edition features of the 2015 run features Philadelphia-based rockers Strand of Oaks, alt-country veterans Marah and instrumental dynamos, Kopecky. All three bands are from out of town, and are on national tours. And you can see them for free by the water.
