Fresh off a renegotiated lease to stay at the original Canton Square location, Nacho Mamaโs is set to expand to Towson.
The Elvis-themed TexMex spot is planning to open a second location at the corner of York Road and Pennsylvania Ave. The new location will be 6,700 sq. ft., and have outdoor tables. Owners Jackie McCusker and Phil Kelso are planning renovations to the kitchen at the new space, and have to transfer a liquor license. If all goes according to plan, the restaurant aims for a 2016 opening.
Baltimore County government is excited. County Executive Kevin Kamenetz issued a statement to celebrate this move.
โBaltimore County welcomes Nacho Mamaโs to Towson with a big โHola, Hon,’โ Kamenetz said.

Yay! Towson desperately needs this.
Really? Please stay in Canton. Towson is known far and wide for bad bar food and jury duty.
This is great. Canton bars that expand have a good track record.
