Courtesy Cityvizlist – If you’ve ever taken a drive out to Deep Creek Lake in Western Maryland, chances are you traveled through one of the country’s 10 poorest cities to get there.
Cumberland, Md. was ranked the 9th poorest city in the nation with a median household income of $34,819, according to 24/7 Wall St., citing data from the 2011 Census Bureau American Community Survey.
