We know you “gotta catch ’em all,” but pull over first, Baltimore

A police officer’s body camera happened to capture the moment a driver sideswiped an unoccupied police car parked near Patterson Park. The unidentified driver stopped his vehicle a block down the street and exited showing officers his smart phone with the Pokemon Go app open.

“That’s what I get for playing this dumb— game,” he said. No one was seriously hurt.

Police released the video as a cautionary tale:

#PokemonGO is not all fun and games. Here is a video of a distracted driver who struck one of our cars. #PlaySafe pic.twitter.com/kOTfbTcILo

In case you’re one of those people who was born to hate Pokemon Go, know that it has been the source of positive news stories as well. A juvenile in Bristol, Va., who was playing the game in a park recently helped police detain a suspect who was allegedly threatening to kill anyone who came near.
