Baltimore County Public Schoolsโ€™ (BCPS) annual stakeholder survey is live beginning today, Monday, Jan. 27 through Friday, Feb. 28, 2025. Students in grades 3-12, parents, caregivers, staff, and community members are invited to share their views in the anonymous survey.

The 2025 BCPS Stakeholder Climate Survey is a way for the school system to engage with the school community and receive feedback on issues surrounding school environment and engagement, both within the school and between the school and the outside community. The survey takes three minutes at most to complete, is anonymous, and is available in multiple languages.

โ€œThe perspectives of our staff, students, families, and community members have never been more important in helping us to focus on and improve our studentsโ€™ academic progress,โ€ BCPS Superintendent Dr. Myriam Rogers said in a statement. โ€œOur annual survey is an important tool for us to listen to the BCPS community and to be responsive to their feedback. I encourage everyone to take this opportunity to share their voice and viewpoints with us.โ€

According to the results of the 2024 survey, last yearโ€™s participation was the highest on record, with nearly 84,000 responses, which marked a 30% increase over 2023โ€™s responses. The survey was available in 20 languages in 2024, as is the case in 2025.

Last yearโ€™s results showed, among many things, that elementary school students had more positive perceptions of school climate than secondary school students; students generally felt more connected to learning and supported by adults than they felt supported by their peers or safe at school; perceptions among students (and parents) varied more drastically by school level than by racial/ethnic group; and school administrators felt more positively and supported in their workplace than school staff and central office staff did.
