Baltimore County will open a walk-up coronavirus testing site at the Baltimore Highlands Lansdowne Health Center on Monday, marking the county’s fifth testing location, officials announced today.
The new clinic, located at 3902 Annapolis Road, will operate on Mondays from 3-6 p.m.
The Lansdowne site is part of Baltimore County’s continued efforts to expand accessibility to coronavirus testing, Baltimore County Executive Johnny Olszewski Jr. said.
“Our fight against COVID-19 is not over. To stop the spread of this deadly virus, we must continue to make access to free, convenient testing as easy as possible for residents across Baltimore County,” Olszewski said in a statement. “As we take gradual steps to safely reopen, expanded testing at sites like this one will be critical in protecting the health and safety of our neighbors and loved ones.”
With the addition of the Lansdowne clinic, Baltimore County will have a total of five coronavirus testing locations.
“Multiple testing locations is key in helping identify—and contain—the transmission of this virus,” said Baltimore County Health Officer Dr. Gregory Wm. Branch.
Residents can schedule an appointment online for free COVID-19 testing at the Lansdowne clinic or any other testing site in the county, with new dates added every Wednesday.
Although city officials encourage residents to book an appointment, individuals who do not have an appointment will not be turned away.
When making an appointment, residents will enter their contact information, choose a site location and appointment time and list any special accommodations they may need.
Residents must show identification when arriving for their test, and adults accompanying a minor must write down the child’s name and date of birth.
Last month, Branch directed the county to allow any resident to get tested for COVID-19 without a doctor’s order.
