The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra is welcoming the return of its community-based concert series, “Symphony in the City.”
This week, the BSO will perform the first of its fall series, which will take the orchestra from the concert hall directly to locations in and around Baltimore.
The free concert will take place at 7 p.m. Sept. 14 at the Enoch Pratt Free Library’s Central branch.
Led by associate conductor Jonathan Rush, the one-hour performance will feature arrangements inspired by Duke Ellington, Adolphus Hailstork, and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
The community concert will take place days before the BSO will celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall on Sept. 17.
Although the community concert performance is free, tickets must be reserved in advance. Click here for more information.
