This weekend, it’s time to get movin’, Baltimore! Whether you want to cheer on teams competing in the CIAA basketball tournament, take Brazilian dance classes, or get inspired by performances from the Philadelphia Dance Company, there’s plenty to do in Charm City.

Check it all out in this weekend’s lineup:

Philadanco!, Thursday, Feb. 29, 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., Gordon Center for Performing Arts. The Philadelphia Dance Company, also known as Philadanco!, will perform several pieces, including “Seasons” by choreographer Francisco Gella, “Out-Side-In” by Ephrat Asherie, “This Place” by Ray Mercer, and “Conglomerate” by Anthony Burrell. Viva Brasil!, Friday, March 1, and Saturday, March 2, Creative Alliance. A celebration of Brazilian culture kicks off Friday with a bossa nova performance by Brazilian pianist Marcos Ariel. Then, the events continue Saturday with capoeira classes for children and adults, a frevo dance lesson, a samba dance lesson, and a Carnival dance party. Desi Banks, Friday, March 1, doors open 7 p.m., event begins 8 p.m., Lyric Baltimore. Actor, stand-up comedian, podcaster, and entrepreneur Desi Banks will take the stage during the Baltimore stop on his The Purpose Chaser Tour.

CIAA Day Party, Saturday, March 2, 1 p.m., Rams Head Live. In celebration of the CIAA basketball tournament, come to the Official CIAA Ultimate Day Party. The event will feature Kid Capri. Read about other CIAA events in this Baltimore Fishbowl article.

Classical Guitar Concert, Saturday, March 2, 3 p.m., An Die Musik. As part of the Estrella Classical Guitar Concert Series, which continues on the first Saturday of each month at 3 p.m., guitarist Benjamin Gascon will perform. Gascon studied at the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University. He holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Classical Guitar Performance, and is currently pursuing his doctoral degree.

Terri Lyne Carrington, Saturday, March 2, 6 p.m., Keystone Korner. Drummer and bandleader Terri Lyne Carrington is the first female artist to ever win the GRAMMY Award for Best Jazz Instrumental Album. Now, she will take the stage at Keystone Korner.

Ethiopia Exhibition Closing Celebration, Saturday, March 2, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., The Walters Art Museum. The “Ethiopia at the Crossroads” exhibition will run through March 3 at the Walters Art Museum. In honor of the exhibition’s closing, the museum will hold a celebration with art-making, music, treats from local Ethiopian vendors, and a fashion show.
