The sounds of sights of spring are alive in Baltimore, and this weekend presents opportunities to enjoy them all!

From an Easter egg hunt at the zoo, to string band musicians performing old-time music, to a celebration of National Poetry Month, there’s plenty to see and do.

COLD: 13 Ways To Bleed On Stage & A Different Kind Of Pain, Thursday, April 17, doors 6 p.m., show 7 p.m, Baltimore Soundstage. Celebrating 25 years of “13 Ways To Bleed On Stage” and 20 years of “A Different Kind Of Pain,” COLD will be playing both albums in their entirety.

Bunny BonanZOO, Friday, April 18, through Sunday, April 20, Maryland Zoo. Bring the little ones to participate in an egg hunt; take photos with the Easter Bunny and Zoo mascots Sphen the penguin and Pretzels the bear; make crafts; watch a puppet show; and more.

Baltimore Old Time Music Festival, Friday, April 18, 6 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. and Saturday, April 19, 10 a.m. to 11 p.m., Baltimore Museum of Industry. This two-day all-ages musical celebration will include hands-on workshops, a Family Square Dance, kids’ programming, food and drink vendors, and live performances from some of the nation’s brightest Old Time Stringband musicians.

Candlelight: A Tribute to Whitney Houston, Friday, April 18, 6:30 p.m. to 7:45 p.m., Meyerhoff Auditorium, Baltimore Museum of Art. Kennedy String Quartet will perform the songs of Whitney Houston by candlelight in this live, multi-sensory musical experience.

Come From Away, Friday, April 18, and Saturday, April 19, Hippodrome Theatre. The musical “Come From Away” tells the true story of the town of Gander in Newfoundland, which welcomed 7,000 airline passengers who were stranded after the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

Grim Reefer Fest, Saturday, April 19, 2 p.m., Ottobar. Celebrate the High Holidays with a full day of dank vibes, high spirits, and live performances from Rezn, Vosh, Temple of the Fuzz Witch, Haze Mage, Temptress, Sorge, Consumer Culture, Thunderchief, Spellbook, and Knub.

National Poetry Month Celebration, Saturday, April 19, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., American Visionary Art Museum. April is National Poetry Month and AVAM is celebrating with a Posters and Poetry Cypher event. Unique Robinson will facilitate this workshop where you can craft poems and make collage posters.

Blippi, Saturday, April 19, doors open at 1 p.m., event starts at 2 p.m., Lyric Baltimore. Do your kids love Blippi? Watch him perform live with friends as the “Blippi: Join The Band Tour” visits Baltimore.

Collaborative Collage Quilt, Saturday, April 19, and Sunday, April 20, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. both days, The Walters Art Museum. Join art lovers of all ages and skill levels for this drop-in art-making event. You will use collage techniques to create a quilt square that will be combined with your fellow artists’ contributions as part of a larger artwork.
