Earth, Wind & Fire Tribute, Thursday, May 23, 7:30 p.m., Keystone Korner. Tarsha Fitzgerald and Devotion Band will present a tribute to Earth, Wind & Fire.
Maryland Deathfest, Thursday, May 23, through Sunday, May 26, various locations. Calling all metalheads. Maryland Deathfest XIX returns this week, with a lineup full of metal music bands across multiple venues.
Shop Talk, Friday, May 24, 3 p.m. to 4 p.m., Presentable Cutz. Young, Gifted & Green has partnered with Presentable Cutz to present a Shop Talk on lead contamination and remediation. The conversation will feature Lead Free Baltimore Community Organizer Naadiya Hutchison.
Strawberry Festival, Saturday, May 25, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., St. Francis of Assisi. If you love strawberries, this is the festival for you. In addition to fresh fruit, you can also enjoy strawberry shortcakes, strawberry sundaes, and strawberry milkshakes (as well as vanilla and chocolate). There will also be Sloppy Joe sandwiches, hot dogs, chili dogs, and more.
Tea Rituals, Saturday, May 25, 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., BMA Lexington Market. Nicoletta Daríta de la Brown will lead a workshop akin to a traditional tea ceremony.
Brew at the Zoo, Saturday, May 25, and Sunday, May 26, 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. both days, Maryland Zoo. Sample beers, wines, seltzers, and ciders; enjoy live music; shop local vendors; and more at this fundraiser for the Maryland Zoo.
East Asian Games, Saturday, May 25, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., Walters Art Museum. In celebration of Asian American and Pacific Islander Month, play games from the Asian diaspora. Space is limited.
Or Bareket Quartet, Saturday, May 25, 7 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., An Die Musik. Performing at An Die Musik this Saturday, the Or Bareket Quartet features bassist Or Bareket, saxophonist Godwin Louis, pianist Jeremy Corren, and drummer Savannah Harris.
SOWEBO Festival, Sunday, May 26, 12 p.m. to 8 p.m., Hollins Street and South Carrollton Street. Celebrate Southwest Baltimore at the 41st Annual SOWEBO Art & Music Festival, featuring food, drinks, music, puppet performances, live painting, dance, fashion, and more.
Tyler Childers, Monday, May 27, CFG Bank Arena. Kentucky-born singer-songwriter Tyler Childers and his band The Food Stamps will come to Baltimore as part of their global “Mule Pull ’24 Tour.” Known for his mix of country, bluegrass and folk music, Childers released his sixth studio album, “Rustin’ in the Rain,” in 2023.
