Former Beatle Paul McCartney is performing in Baltimore on Sunday. But if you didn’t get tickets in time, worry not; there’s an array of musical performances and other events to entertain and educate you this weekend.

Gender-Fluid Deity, Thursday, June 9, 6 p.m., The Walters Art Museum. The Walters will host the event “Queering the Collection: Gender Fluidity and Buddhist Deities.” Multidisciplinary artist and community activist Abdu Ali will talk with Dany Chan, associate curator of Asian art at the Walters, about Avalokiteshvara, a gender-fluid deity in Buddhism.

Golden Girls, Thursday, June 9 through Sunday, June 12, Hippodrome Theatre. Dorothy, Sophia, Blanche and Rose are back and bringing the laughs. The ladies from the ’80s — played in drag — navigate life in 2022 and adventures ensue.

Dan Deacon, Thursday, June 9, 8 p.m., Ottobar. Electronic musician Dan Deacon will perform, with a guest appearance by Alex Silva. The Friday night show is sold out, but tickets are still available for Thursday.

Greek Festival, Friday, June 10 to Sunday, June 12, Greektown around St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church. Get on down to Greektown for the St. Nicholas Greek Folk Festival. The festival will feature Greek food, music, dancing, and more.

Jumanji at the Zoo, Friday, June 10, 7-10:30 p.m., Maryland Zoo. The Maryland Zoo will screen the 2017 movie “Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle” as part of their Movies at the Zoo series. The movie, starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Jack Black, Karen Gillan and Kevin Hart continues the wild and wacky spirit of the original Jumanji movie from 1995. Audience members can bring their own blankets to sit on during the movie, but chairs and alcohol are not permitted. Guests can also purchase concessions and receive a visit from an animal ambassador.

Superhero Science, Saturday, June 11, noon to 4 p.m., Maryland Science Center. Scientists assemble! Learn about the science behind super powers and complete challenges to put your own powers to the test.

Honfest, Saturday, June 11 to Sunday, June 12, Hampden. Towering beehive hairstyles, cat eye glasses, and flashy patterns can only mean one thing: Honfest is here! Enjoy a contest to crown this year’s most hon-iest hon, a pie baking contest, a flash mob, a fashion show, a bubble blowing contest, live music and entertainment, and much more.

Keep It Fresh Fest, Saturday, June 11, noon to 4 p.m., Residence Inn Baltimore at The Johns Hopkins Medical Campus. Make sure to eat your fruits and veggies, kids! The “Keep It Fresh” Fest will teach children and families about a plant-based lifestyle with brief lecturers, live entertainment, information booths, and a certified health and wellness consultant to answer questions. Land of Kush VeganSoul Bistro will cater lunch. Be sure to RSVP!

New York Voices, Saturday, June 12, 5 p.m. Baltimore Museum of Art. The Baltimore Chamber Jazz Society’s season continues with a performance by New York Voices, including Peter Eldridge, Darmon Meader, Kim Nazarian and Lauren Kinhan.

Paul McCartney, Sunday, June 12, 8 p.m., Oriole Park at Camden Yards. Paul McCartney is getting back to where he belongs – at least for one night. The former Beatle will perform in Baltimore on Sunday as part of his “Got Back” tour. If you don’t have tickets yet…well, good luck finding any. But even to hear McCartney’s music carrying over the walls of Camden Yards would be a treat.

Editor’s note: a previous version of this weekend events column featured a concert by the band They Might Be Giants on June 12. That concert has been cancelled after member John Flansburgh was injured during a car crash Wednesday night. Fellow band member John Linnell wrote on Twitter that Flansburgh suffered multiple broken ribs but “no vital organs were involved and the long-term prognosis seems positive.”
