Journey to Valhalla, Thursday, Sept. 5, 7 p.m. to 11 p.m., Peabody Heights Brewery. Come out to help raise funds for the Baltimore Rock Opera Society and honor BROS founding director Aran Keating, who earlier this year stepped down from the community theater group he founded.

Jon Pardi, Thursday, Sept. 5, Pier Six Pavilion. Country singer Jon Pardi is coming to Baltimore this weekend for his Mr. Saturday Night Tour.

First Thursday Concert, Thursday, Sept. 5, Canton Waterfront Park. WTMD’s final First Thursday Concert of the 2024 season will feature music by Brittany Davis, The Wild Feathers, and Dapper Dan Midas. Visitors can also enjoy food and drinks from local vendors, and shop from local artisans, makers and manufacturers.

Wizards & Wine, Friday, Sept. 6, 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., Maryland Science Center. Sip on delicious potions — aka wines — from Boordy Vineyards as you embark on a magical adventure. Put your nose to the test as you smell ingredients; mix and drink a color-changing creation; and more.

Band of Horses/City and Colour, Friday, Sept. 6, doors open at 7 p.m., event starts at 8 p.m., Lyric Baltimore. American rock group Band of Horses & Canadian musical group City and Colour will perform.

The Healing Power of Cultural Food, Saturday, Sept. 7, 9 a.m. or 12:30 p.m., Reginald F. Lewis Museum of Maryland African American History and Culture. This community event aims to encourage health and wellness among Black Americans ages 60 and above, as well as other Medicare beneficiaries. The event will feature talks and demonstrations by experts in nutrition, cooking, and health insurance. RSVP at abetteryou.info.

Green Mount Cemetery Tour, Saturday, Sept. 7, 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Green Mount Cemetery. Baltimore Heritage will host a tour of Baltimore’s historic Green Mount Cemetery, the burial place of figures like Johns Hopkins, Enoch Pratt, William and Henry Walters, Mary Elizabeth Garrett, Betsy Patterson, A.S. Abell, John H. B. Latrobe, John Wilkes Booth, and Ouija Board co-inventor Elijah Bond.

Carnivorous Plants, Saturday, Sept. 7, 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., B. Willow. Local carnivorous plant hobbyist and grower Patrick Treece will hold a pop-up event at B. Willow, where visitors can learn about and even purchase some carnivorous plants.

Stepping Stone Mosaic, Saturday, Sept. 7, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., American Visionary Art Museum. Artist Ali Mirsky will lead a workshop about creating your own stepping stone mosaic. Participants will create a 12 x 12 stepping stone mosaic to take home, and will receive a bag of grout to complete the project. The workshop is for participants ages 16 and older. Space is limited so RSVP. Participants should also pack a lunch or snack to fuel their creative minds.

Place, Past, Present, Future, Saturday, Sept. 7, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., Walters Art Museum. Artists Jessy DeSantis, Herb Massie, Jackie Milad, and René Treviño will be in conversation with Dr. Gina Borromeo, Senior Director of Collections and Curatorial Affairs and Senior Curator of Ancient Art. They will discuss how place and past influence artists’ work in the present and future. The program will also include a Q&A portion.

Kirk Franklin, Saturday, Sept. 7, doors open at 6 p.m., event begins at 7 p.m., CFG Bank Arena. During The Reunion Tour, 19-time Grammy award-winning producer, songwriter, and artist Kirk Franklin will be joined by co-headliners and gospel music icons Yolanda Adams, Fred Hammond, Marvin Sapp, and The Clark Sisters. Kierra Sheard-Kelly will also join as a special guest.

Wine & Arts Festival, Sunday, Sept. 8, 12 p.m. to 6 p.m., Middle Branch Park. Enjoy live performances by neosoul and R&B musicians, food and wine vendors, and more. No outside alcohol or grills are allowed.

Riverside Concert, Sunday, Sept. 8, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Riverside Park. The Riverside community’s Summer Concert Series, presented by Domino Sugar, continues this weekend with live music by Tom Starr Band. Fuzzies & Little Havana food trucks will also, as will Miss Twist. Beer and wine sales will benefit the Riverside Neighborhood Association.

The Killers, Sunday, Sept. 8, gates open at 6 p.m., show starts at 7:30 p.m., Merriweather Post Pavilion. American rock band The Killers have released seven studio albums and have been nominated for seven Grammy awards. The band will be joined at their Columbia show by Robert Loud and Soft Echo.
