Hey, Baltimore — I have a feeling it’s going to be an amazing summer. Evidence point #1: Beyonce AND Jay Z are coming to our fair city on July 7. The only problem is that with so much awesomeness in one stadium, Baltimore may just explode.
This is a big deal for a number of reasons, including the fact that the superstar couple have never toured together before. And last year when Jay Z stopped by M&T Bank Stadium during his tour with Justin Timberlake, the economic impact on the area was significant. Add Beyonce to the mix, and you’re looking at an estimated $10 million-plus of economic impact on the city.
“It’s literally bigger than a Ravens football game in terms of the people who are coming and what people are spending before and after the game,” Michael Evitz of the Downtown Partnership told WJZ.
The stadium can hold about 70,000, but don’t sleep on getting tickets–this one is certainly going to sell out.
