Zoey Crumpton, a 2011 graduate of the Bryn Mawr School, was killed in a car crash on Thursday night when the car in which she was a passenger was broadsided on Broadway and Bank Streets. The driver of the car that struck her was also killed. He was Julian Benson, a popular 2010 graduate of Morgan State, who was named Mr. Morgan.
Miss Crumpton was in the car with her boyfriend Devon Turner, a graduate of Calvert Hall. He sustained minor injuries.
She was in the nursing school at Stevenson University.
BMS Headmistress Maureen Walsh released the following statement regarding the crash: “The Bryn Mawr School community is deeply saddened by Zoey Crumpton’s death. Zoey was a beloved member of The Bryn Mawr School’s Class of 2011 and will be missed by her classmates, teachers, and friends.”
Services for Miss Crumpton have not been announced.
