Baltimore City’s public works department is looking for logo designs for their upcoming “Cleaner, Greener, Beautiful-Baltimore” campaign, set to launch in September.
Through the campaign, the Baltimore City Department of Public Works (DPW) plans to encourage residents to help end illegal dumping, decrease blight, and clean up the city’s streets, storm drains and alleyways.
Baltimore City residents of any artistic skill level can submit a logo design. All logo designs must be original artwork and be submitted by Aug. 19.
Logo designs should also be inspired by the “Cleaner, Greener, Beautiful-Baltimore” mission.
“This logo contest not only offers Baltimore City residents an opportunity to highlight their artistic skills but it also enables residents to contribute to an exciting new program that will encourage our community partners to work together to renew their commitment to a cleaner, greener City,” DPW Director Jason Mitchell said in a statement.
DPW will use the winning logo for branding and promotion of their new campaign. It will also be featured on the department’s website and social media platforms.
Additionally, the winning logo artist will receive $1,500 to support a “Cleaner, Greener, Beautiful-Baltimore” event.
The second place winner will receive $500 to support a “Cleaner, Greener, Beautiful-Baltimore” event, while honorable mentions will receive certificates and name recognition on DPW’s website.
