This year’s winner of Baltimore Homecoming’s Crab Tank business competition is the entrepreneur behind the first direct-to-consumer post-mastectomy brand to sell post-mastectomy bras, breast prostheses, and other post-mastectomy supplies.
Jasmine Jones, founder and CEO of Myya, won big this weekend at Baltimore Homecoming, walking away with not only the Crab Tank Competitionโs top prize of $25,000, but the Peopleโs Choice Award of $2,500.
Jones was named winner of the Crab Tank Entrepreneurship Programโs grand prize of $25,000 by a panel of judges from the nearly 90 local businesses who applied this year. Ten entrepreneurs advanced to the semi-finals, and five were selected as finalists to pitch at the competition during Baltimore Homecomingโs 2025 Signature Event on Friday, Sept. 19. The audience voted for winner of the $2,500 โPeopleโs Choice Awardโ after watching the competition.
Myya partners with several local hospitals, as well as The Red Devils, a Baltimore-based organization that funds support services for breast cancer patients and their families. Their products are insurance-reimbursable, which makes them more accessible for breast cancer survivors. Jonesโ company has supported more than 21,000 customers so far and is working towards opening a brick-and-mortar shop in Baltimore.

โWe are thrilled to celebrate Jasmine as this yearโs Crab Tank winner,โ said Mandy Snyder, executive director of Baltimore Homecoming, in a statement. โHer innovation and dedication embody the spirit of Baltimoreโs entrepreneurial community, and we canโt wait to see the impact she will continue to have on our city.โ
The panel of judges represented a broad swath of Baltimoreโs business, investment, and innovation communities. They included Ellington West, co-founder and CEO of Sonavi Labs and a 2019 Crab Tank Finalist; Gregory Bernstein, co-founder and CEO of The New Industrial Corporation; and Dr. Deborah Hemingway, managing partner at Ecphora Capital.
โThe entrepreneurs who took part in this yearโs Crab Tank represent the best of Baltimoreโs ingenuity and determination,โ said Brian Walter, regional president of M&T Bank for Greater Baltimore, in a statement. โWe congratulate Jasmine on earning the top honor and look forward to the continued growth and positive impact each finalist will have on our community.โ
The purpose of the Crab Tank Entrepreneurship Program is to break down barriers for local businesses. In addition to prize money, those selected for the program receive coaching, content production support, and access to a network of Baltimore business leaders and alumni with decades of combined experience and skills to impart. Past winners include Hiatus Cheesecake, WhitePaws RunMitts, and Femly, all of whom have expanded their reach and impact beyond Charm City after winning the competition.
