Gilman Musicians Shine on Local and State Stages

Gilman sophomore Bryan Huang (violin) will be the featured soloist of the Baltimore Youth Symphony Orchestra (BYSO) Concert on Sunday, May 15 at the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall. He will perform the Mendelssohn Violin Concerto. Bryan earned his solo when he won First Prize in the BYSO Concerto Competition last January. Bryan also performed at the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra Centennial Concert, held February 11.

Additionally, Bryan was one of ten Gilman musicians selected from more than 3,000 students who auditioned for the Maryland All-State orchestras, bands and choruses. Congratulations to:

The All State Senior Orchestra, Senior Chorus, Junior and Senior Bands performed in February at Morgan State University. Earlier this month, the All State Junior Orchestra and Junior Chorus performed at Towson University.
