If you’re looking for a meaningful way to spend Earth Week with your kids — one that involves live music from award-winning artists, hands-on outdoor activities, and a gorgeous wooded Baltimore campus — look no further than KidStock 2026: Earth Week Community Concert, happening this Sunday, April 26 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Waldorf School of Baltimore.
What Is KidStock?
KidStock is the Waldorf School of Baltimore‘s beloved annual celebration of community, nature, and live music for all ages. This year, the event takes on special resonance as an Earth Week celebration sponsored by the Chesapeake Bay Trust, bringing together two of the most acclaimed names in family music for a morning that’s equal parts concert, outdoor adventure, and environmental education.
Think of it as a mini music festival — without the muddy fields and overpriced food — set on one of Baltimore’s most beautiful school campuses, complete with nature trails, outdoor classrooms, and lush woodland gardens.
The Lineup: Three Grammy-Winning Acts
9 a.m. — FYÜTCH

Kicking things off is Harold “FYÜTCH” Simmons II — and Baltimore-area families couldn’t ask for a better opener. A Charles County, Maryland resident, FYÜTCH is as local as it gets, and right now he’s one of the hottest names in family music anywhere in the country. On February 1, 2026, he and his 8-year-old daughter Aura V made Grammy history when their album Harmony won Best Children’s Music Album — with Aura V becoming the youngest individually named Grammy winner ever, surpassing Blue Ivy Carter’s record.
But FYÜTCH is far more than a viral moment. A multi-disciplinary artist, educator, and social justice advocate with a creative career spanning several decades, he uses hip-hop, spoken word, and visual storytelling to create all-ages experiences that spark real conversations about racial equity, empathy, and community. His work has appeared on The Today Show, NPR, CBS News, and MTV, and his song “Black Women in History” hit #1 on Sirius XM Kids Place Live. His performances don’t just entertain — they leave kids (and adults) genuinely moved and thinking differently about the world.
10 a.m. — Dan Zanes & Claudia Zanes
Dan Zanes is one of the most beloved figures in American family music — a Grammy Award winner who has spent decades reimagining folk, blues, and world traditions into joyful, all-ages experiences. Joined by Haitian-American music therapist and jazz vocalist Claudia Zanes, the duo creates warm, participatory performances that feel as comfortable for grandparents as they do for toddlers. Their music has a way of making everyone in the room feel like they belong — which is very much the point.
11 a.m. — MISTER G
Closing out the morning is MISTER G (Ben Gundersheimer), a Latin Grammy Award winner dubbed “a bilingual rock star” by The Washington Post. With 14 albums of original, multicultural music, five Parents’ Choice Gold Awards, and a Penguin Random House book deal to his name, MISTER G is one of the most dynamic performers working in children’s music today.

His Earth Week set weaves together science, ecology, and conservation themes through bilingual English-Spanish songs — his Mundo Verde/Green World album, in particular, is a love letter to the planet.
MISTER G’s performances are high-energy, interactive, and genuinely moving, making children feel like they have real power to protect the natural world. He’s headlined venues from the Metropolitan Museum of Art to Lollapalooza to the National Zoo — and now he’s coming to Roland Park.
Beyond the Music: A Full Morning of Eco-Discovery
The concert is just the beginning. KidStock families are invited to explore the Waldorf School’s distinctive wooded campus — a rarity in Baltimore — including forest nature trails, outdoor classrooms, and garden spaces that feel like a world apart from the city. Activities include:
- Eco-crafts for all ages
- Nature Scavenger Hunt
- Giant Bubbles & Gem Mining
- Hands-on opportunities to learn about sustainable practices
- Open exploration of the school’s outdoor classrooms and play areas
- Organic Pizza for Sale (Breakfast and Regular!)
This is the kind of morning that kids remember — and parents feel good about.
Why This Event Matters Right Now
Earth Week is a time for action and intention, and KidStock is designed to spark both. The Waldorf School of Baltimore is a U.S. Department of Education Green Ribbon School and an MAEOE-certified sustainable school, meaning environmental stewardship isn’t just a theme for the day — it’s woven into the fabric of the institution.
Sponsored by the Chesapeake Bay Trust, this event connects Baltimore families to something larger: a community committed to raising children who see themselves as stewards of the natural world. In a week full of environmental noise, KidStock offers something rare — genuine joy.
