At the end of February, the Maryland Home & Garden Show will bring two of TV’s most popular reality TV celebrities to the Maryland State Fairgrounds to get attendees ready for spring thaw and warm weather living.
The Maryland Home & Garden show runs at the Fairgrounds for two weekends in a row: Saturday–Sunday, Feb. 28–March 1, and Friday–Sunday, March 6–8, 2026. (Sunday, March 8 is Daylight Savings Time, so don’t forget to “spring forward”!) During the first weekend, Matt Bashaw from HGTV’s “Yard Crashers” will offer tips on getting ready for Spring in his presentation, “Live, Love, Landscape: Creating the Perfect Outdoor Space for You and Your Family”. Bashaw will be there on both days and is known for guiding his “Yard Crashers” crew through a complete transformation of a home’s outdoor space in just two days.
On the second weekend, Bravo’s “Southern Charm” star Craig Conover will appear on the Main Stage on Friday and Saturday. Conover is a fan favorite on the hit reality series, where he was teased about his passion for sewing. Conover gets the last word about that, having turned that passion into a thriving career as founder of “Sewing Down South”, a décor, lifestyle, and apparel brand with a flagship store in South Carolina.
Star power is not the only draw for attendees looking to freshen up their homes and outdoor spaces after a brutal two months of winter weather. The Cow Palace will have seven large, landscaped areas with water features, grilling stations, sports areas, and seasonal plantings to spark imaginations. More than 400 exhibitors will have the latest home and yard products, and they can offer tips and tricks for easy and affordable home improvement. Most of the exhibitors are locally-owned or family businesses.
When the TV celebrities are not gracing the Main Stage and answering visitors’ questions, the stage will be filled with local experts leading home improvement seminars and workshops.
The first weekend of the show will feature a petting zoo with live farm animals, as enjoyable for adults as it is for children. On the second weekend of the show, the Maryland Orchid Society will have their annual Show and Sale, with hundreds of exotic plants available for viewing and purchase. Both weekends will have dozens of local crafters in the Makers Market with their handmade items for sale.
A variety of discounts are available for tickets, including military, fire, police, first responders, trade professionals, and more. There is also a discount for people who bring food donations for the Maryland Food Bank. A complete list of discount offers is available on the show’s website.
