As Baltimore residents and visitors enjoy the Inner Harbor fireworks display and other festivities this Labor Day weekend, the Baltimore Office of Promotion & The Arts (BOPA) will also be encouraging people to โ€œfall back safelyโ€ by offering free vaccinations, face masks and hand sanitizer to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

The End of Summer Extravaganza on Sept. 5 will start at 5:30 p.m. at the Inner Harbor amphitheatre and promenade. Baltimore DJ Michael Joyner will provide musical entertainment.

Music speakers will be placed along the promenade instead of at the amphitheatre to encourage people to practice social distancing to limit the spread of COVID-19.

The event will culminate with a 15-minute fireworks display at 8:30 p.m. The fireworks display, which Pyrotecnico has choreographed to music, will be shot from a barge in the Inner Harbor.

In the spirit of the eventโ€™s โ€œFall Back Safelyโ€ theme, BOPA has also partnered with Mercy Medical Center to offer free COVID-19 vaccinations. BOPA will also be handing out hand sanitizer, donated by Mount Royal Soap Company, as well as face masks.

The extravaganza is sponsored by the mayorโ€™s office and city government with support from the Waterfront Partnership, and is produced by BOPA.
