second chance wreckers ball

Second Chance is hosting the Wreckers Ball to support their workforce development program. The ball will be held on October 13, 2018 at their retail facility at 1700 Ridgely Street in downtown Baltimore.

At the Wreckers Ball, guests will have an opportunity to hear directly from the people whose lives have been changed through training and employment at Second Chance. “We want to thank our wonderful supporters and raise awareness in the community for the great work we are doing,” said Second Chance President and Founder Mark Foster.

Not only will you hear stories of the lives that Second Chance has changed, but the Wreckers Ball will be a fun, casual event featuring live music, dancing, games, a live auction and a raffle. Food will be provided by Mission BBQ and an open bar will serve beer, wine, and your choice of construction themed cocktails. The attire is “construction chic.”

About the Sponsor: Second Chance was founded in 2001 to provide people, materials and the environment with a second chance. They deconstruct buildings and homes, recycle and salvage usable materials, and make them available to the public in their 200,000 square foot retail space. With the revenue generated, they provide job training to those with obstacles to employment. Second Chance has done a remarkable job funding their own programs over the last fifteen years. However, as they seek to expand operations and involve more individuals in workforce development, they are kicking off their fundraising activities with their upcoming Wreckers Ball on October 13, 2018.
