Maryland officials on Tuesday reported 30 more deaths related to coronavirus and 662 new confirmed cases of COVID-19.

Since the pandemic began, a total of 377,628 Marylanders have tested positive for the virus and 7,580 of the state’s residents have died.

The state have also reported 2,967,660 negative test results to date.

There are 182 deaths that state officials suspect were related to coronavirus, but that they have not confirmed.

Maryland has completed 7,689,541 coronavirus tests to date, with 12,550 test results reported in the past 24 hours.

On average, 3.9% of the state’s COVID-19 tests over the last seven days came back positive.

The seven-day average rate of positive tests yesterday was 4.21% for Marylanders younger than 35 and 3.7% for Marylanders older than 35.

Currently, 978 Marylanders are hospitalized with coronavirus, including 720 who are in acute care and 258 who are in intensive care.

The number of acute care patients rose by four while the number of intensive care patients declined by 18, marking a net decrease of 14 fewer people hospitalized with coronavirus compared to Monday.

Maryland has hospitalized a total of 34,577 COVID-19 patients to date.

The state has distributed the first dose of the coronavirus vaccine to a total of 746,919 Marylanders, including 9,580 who received it in the past 24 hours.

Of the Maryland recipients of the first vaccine dose, 365,732 individuals have received the second vaccine dose, including 15,985 people in the past 24 hours.

As of 10 a.m. Tuesday, there have been 72,416 confirmed cases in Prince George’s County; 62,626 in Montgomery County; 50,194 in Baltimore County; 39,980 in Baltimore City; 35,218 in Anne Arundel County; 16,747 in Frederick County; 15,603 in Howard County; 12,336 in Harford County; 12,264 in Washington County; 8,771 in Charles County; 7,460 in Carroll County; 6,703 in Wicomico County; 6,395 in Allegany County; 5,025 in St. Mary’s County; 4,978 in Cecil County; 3,623 in Calvert County; 3,233 in Worcester County; 2,549 in Queen Anne’s County; 2,369 in Somerset County; 2,318 in Dorchester County; 2,022 in Caroline County; 1,855 in Talbot County; 1,836 in Garrett County; and 1,107 in Kent County, according to the dashboard.

Maryland has identified 197,745 of the confirmed COVID-19 patients as female and 179,883 as male.

Of the state’s confirmed cases, 18,747 are people age 9 or younger; 36,063 are people ages 10-19; 68,525 are people ages 20-29; 64,921 are people ages 30-39; 57,317 are people ages 40-49; 56,997 are people ages 50-59; 38,553 are people ages 60-69; 21,952 are people ages 70-79; and 14,553 are people age 80 or older.

Of the Marylanders who have tested positive for COVID-19, 107,945 are Black, 60,945 are Hispanic, 130,344 are white, 8,479 are Asian, 17,743 are another race, and data is not available for the remaining 52,172.

Nationwide, there have been at least 28,194,534 confirmed COVID-19 cases in the United States, including at least 500,585 deaths. The U.S. has conducted more than 341.8 million coronavirus tests to date as of 10 a.m. Tuesday, according to a real-time dashboard created by Johns Hopkins University’s Center for Systems Science and Engineering.
