
More than 8,000 Marylanders have died from COVID-19 as of Tuesday.
State officials on Tuesday reported 11 more deaths related to coronavirus, bringing the total number of Marylanders who have died from the virus to 8,010.
There are also 185 deaths suspected to be related to coronavirus.
At least 401,427 Marylanders have tested positive for COVID-19, while 3,123,506 have tested negative as of Tuesday morning, according to the Maryland Department of Health’s COVID-19 Case Map Dashboard.
The state’s coronavirus caseload rose by 722, an increase of 0.18%.
Maryland has completed 8,524,947 COVID-19 tests to date, with 12,956 test results reported in the past 24 hours.
An average of 4.45% of the state’s coronavirus tests over the last seven days came back positive.
The seven-day average rate of positive tests yesterday was 4.79% for Marylanders younger than 35 and 4.2% for Marylanders older than 35.
There are currently 895 Marylanders hospitalized with COVID-19, including 695 in acute care and 200 in intensive care.
The number of current coronavirus-related hospitalizations increased by 29, with 34 more acute care patients and five fewer intensive care patients compared to Monday.
Maryland has hospitalized a total of 36,953 people due to COVID-19 to date.
Of the two-dose vaccines, Maryland has administered a total of 1,451,589 first doses and 743,876 second doses.
In the past 24 hours, providers have administered 25,822 first doses and 10,036 second doses.
Maryland providers have also administered single-dose vaccines to a total of 57,509 people, including 736 doses that were administered in the past 24 hours.
A total of 801,385 Marylanders have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, state data showed on Tuesday.
As of 10 a.m. Tuesday, there have been 76,587 confirmed cases in Prince George’s County; 65,686 in Montgomery County; 54,031 in Baltimore County; 42,970 in Baltimore City; 37,879 in Anne Arundel County; 17,788 in Frederick County; 16,798 in Howard County; 13,415 in Harford County; 12,908 in Washington County; 9,484 in Charles County; 8,012 in Carroll County; 6,986 in Wicomico County; 6,463 in Allegany County; 5,334 in St. Mary’s County; 5,248 in Cecil County; 3,829 in Calvert County; 3,321 in Worcester County; 2,666 in Queen Anne’s County; 2,453 in Somerset County; 2,443 in Dorchester County; 2,083 in Caroline County; 1,940 in Talbot County; 1,889 in Garrett County; and 1,214 in Kent County, according to the dashboard.
Maryland has identified 209,685 of the confirmed COVID-19 patients as female and 191,742 as male.
Of the state’s confirmed cases, 20,491 are people age 9 or younger; 39,191 are people ages 10-19; 73,192 are people ages 20-29; 68,816 are people ages 30-39; 60,556 are people ages 40-49; 60,411 are people ages 50-59; 40,794 are people ages 60-69; 22,961 are people ages 70-79; and 15,015 are people age 80 or older.
Of the Marylanders who have tested positive for COVID-19, 117,399 are Black, 63,719 are Hispanic, 140,194 are white, 9,413 are Asian, 19,004 are another race, and data is not available for the remaining 51,698.
Nationwide, there have been at least 29,870,136 confirmed COVID-19 cases in the United States, including at least 542,995 deaths. The U.S. has conducted more than 383.4 million coronavirus tests to date as of 10 a.m. Tuesday, according to a real-time dashboard created by Johns Hopkins University’s Center for Systems Science and Engineering.
