Oh Maryland House of Delegates chamber, I knew you when!

In the third episode of the new season of House of Cards ( all episodes of which were released to Netflix Instant at once on February 14) the room where Marylandโ€™s delegates hem and haw over difficult issues before finally passing whatever bill Gov. Martin Oโ€™Malley has asked them to pass makes an appearance about 35 minutes in.

But you may not recognize it! According to the Washington Post, the chamber was done up with โ€œfake marble around the dais and more ornate doorsโ€ for the scene, which was filmed over two days in June.

This isnโ€™t the first time Maryland has stood in for D.C. on the acclaimed series. In August, a presidential motorcade shoot was relocated to Baltimore after the Metro Police Department decided at the last minute that it wasnโ€™t โ€œgoing to rent itself out as extras for a film.โ€
