On Sunday, April 19, 2026, Ronald McDonald House Maryland will host its 15th annual Red Shoe Shuffle 5K Run & Walk inviting participants to run, walk, — or shuffle! — in support of the families it serves.
Over the past 15 years, the Red Shoe Shuffle has raised more than $5.3 million for the families staying at the Ronald McDonald House while their children receive critical medical care at one of Baltimore’s local hospitals.
Today, the organization supports up to 55 families each night and more than 2,400 families each year during some of their most vulnerable moments.
The Ronald McDonald House calls the Red Shoe Shuffle the “Happiest Morning in Maryland,” and here’s why:
- The 5K Shuffle course is family friendly, easy for runners looking for the next PB time, and it takes participants through the Little Italy, around the Inner Harbor then back up the Big Red Heart at the Ronald McDonald House.
- After participants cross the finish line, the party continues in Celebration Village where Shufflers can meet race sponsors, grab bites, and visit the Kids Zone, packed with fun activities provided by Port Discovery, a balloon artist, live DJ, and more!
- The Shuffle offers both in-person and “Shuffle-at-Home” registration options for adults and children. All registered adult Shufflers will receive:
- Under Armour race-day running shirt
- 2026 Red Shoe Shuffle medal
- Plus some great RMH Shuffle swag
- The youngest Shufflers will also receive a race-day shirt and fun parent-approved goodies for the kiddos!
- Race for a great cause! Adult registration is $60 (12 years and older) and child registration is $25 (12 years and younger) and all event proceeds benefit the Ronald McDonald House Maryland.
