Among the many wonderful things to happen during the Baltimore Ravens’ dominant win over the New England Patriots last Sunday was linebacker Matthew Judon’s on-air introduction.
As the “Sunday Night Football” production team cycled through the Ravens defense, with each player saying his name and college program, Judon made the beautiful, out-of-left-field pronouncement “Matthew Judon, body built by Taco Bell.”
This happening on national TV and all, the clip quickly went viral and Judon was held up as a hero for the everyman.
Here’s the video, if you somehow missed it.

To return the love, the fast food chain stopped by the team’s complex yesterday to give Judon all sorts of goodies, including a “Golden Raven Taco Bell Gift Card” good for one year’s worth of T. Bell, the team reports.
And the chain is spreading the wealth today on the newly christened Matthew Judon Day, offering a free Nacho Cheese Doritos Locos Taco at local restaurants from 2-5 p.m. while supplies last. Taco Bell is even setting up a truck at Lot H outside M&T Bank Stadium today to hand out tacos along with mascot Poe and the Ravens Cheerleaders, also from 2-5 p.m.
“I’ve been about Taco Bell ever since I was in college, man. It’s been my favorite fast food restaurant,” Judon said earlier this week. “That’s a delicacy. We don’t get to eat it too often, but after games, if they’re open, I go there.”
And that’s exactly what he did after Sunday’s big win.
You already know how @man_dammn celebrated that big win ??
