In the midst of a tense local and national discussion on police brutality and racism, two huge bombs have just been dropped.
Firstly, retired Baltimore police officer Michael A. Wood Jr. just unloaded a barrage of accusations of police misconduct and brutality on his Twitter page.
Hereโs one:
CCTV cameras turning as soon as a suspect is close to caught.

Hereโs another:
Punting a handcuffed, face down, suspect in the face, after a foot chase. My handcuffs, not my boot or suspect

And another:
I donโt remember details of any particular person getting illegally searched, it was every day.

There are more here. Some of the tweets are graphic.
At the same time, Vice News reported that federal officials determined the โcredible threatโ of a city-wide truce among Baltimore gangs to โtake outโ police officers was, in fact, โnon-credibleโ after interviewing the unnamed source of the information.
