The Spring Maryland Home and Garden Show will return this weekend after a hiatus in 2021.

Visitors will be able to view hundreds of home and garden exhibits and even gather inspiration for their own projects.

The show will run for two weekends, March 5-6 and March 11-13, at the Maryland State Fairgrounds in Timonium.

Event organizers said the next two weekends are the perfect opportunity to get a head start on their home and garden projects.

“Spring is home renovation and landscaping season. And expert contractors will soon be inundated with calls from homeowners looking to upgrade their indoor and outdoor spaces,” the show’s organizers said.

They added that exhibitors can help “make your house a more welcoming, efficient, and fashionable home.”

Tickets purchased at the door are $12 for adults, $10 for seniors age 62 and older, $3 for kids ages 6-12, and free for children under 6 years old. Admission is free for active military, police and fire personnel with an ID. People looking to attend the craft show only can purchase tickets for $6.

Visitors can buy tickets online at a discount, and redeem a coupon for additional savings.

More than 400 home improvement exhibitors will share their products and services.

There will be a craft show with more than 125 juried craft artists, where visitors can find one-of-a-kind gifts.

There will also be garden displays and 10 landscapers showcasing their work under this year’s theme, “The Painted Garden.” With exhibits inspired by a painting or even incorporating art into the display, landscapers will showcase plants, water features, dining areas, stonework and more.

The home and garden show will also feature free wine tastings from several Maryland wineries, with bottles available to purchase; a petting zoo with rabbits, goats, llamas, turtles and more; flower bouquet giveaways every hour; and a slew of speakers and demonstrations.

The special guest for the first weekend will be garden expert Melinda Myers, who hosts the nationally syndicated program “Melinda’s Garden Moment” program and teaches Great Courses’ “How to Grow Anything: Food Gardening for Everyone.”

The second weekend will feature the annual Maryland Orchid Society’s show and sale. Visitors will be able to see award-winning orchid displays, meet orchid experts, and purchase orchids to take home.
