St. Patrick’s Day is March 17, but Baltimore is celebrating a week early with a 5K race and parade on Sunday.
This is also the second and final weekend of the Maryland Home & Garden + Craft Show, where you can get some home improvement tips and shop local vendors as you prepare for some spring cleaning, repairs, and home makeovers.

Dance Company Performance, Thursday, March 7, 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Baltimore Museum of Art. The Dana Tai Soon Burgess Dance Company, a modern dance company from Washington D.C., will perform “We Choose to Go to the Moon” at the BMA.
Talking Heads, Friday, March 8, 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., Maryland Science Center. Listen to your favorite Talking Heads songs while enjoying fantastic images on the dome of the science center’s planetarium. This event is for music lovers age 21 and older.
NÜMB: The NÜ Metal Band, Friday, March 8, doors open 8 p.m., show starts 9 p.m., Rams Head Live. Hailing from Baltimore and the surrounding DMV areas, metal cover band NÜMB will take the stage at Rams Head Live.
The Love Hard Tour, Friday, March 8, doors open 7 p.m., event begins 8 p.m., CFG Bank Arena. Enjoy R&B music as The Love Hard Tour makes its way to Baltimore. The concert will feature Keyshia Cole, Trey Songs, Jaheim, and K. Michelle.
Maryland Home & Garden + Craft Show, Friday, March 8, through Sunday, March 10, Maryland State Fairgrounds. Come out to Timonium for the Maryland Home & Garden + Craft Show. This is the second weekend for the show, featuring Netflix’s “Hack my House” host Ati Williams with home improvement tips, the Maryland Orchid Society’s orchid show and sale, and more. Mr. Trash Wheel Storytime and Sing-a-long, Saturday, March 9, 11 a.m., Enoch Pratt Free Library, Central Branch. Celebrate the release of “Green Machines and Other Amazing Eco-Inventions,” a new book in Dr. Seuss’s The Lorax Books series which features Mr. Trash Wheel. Enoch Pratt Free Library staff will lead a storytime. Afterwards, join the Mr. Trash Wheel sing-along, led by Waterfront Partnership’s Adam Lindquist, co-creator of Mr. Trash Wheel, with participation from the National Aquarium. Screen Painting Workshop, Saturday, March 9, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., American Visionary Art Museum. Artist Jenny Campbell will lead this screen painting workshop, where participants will make their own 15×20 painted screen to take home. All materials will be provided. Space is limited, and the workshop is open to attendees age 16 and older.
Festival of Laughs, Saturday, March 9, doors open 7 p.m., event starts 8 p.m., Lyric Baltimore. Get ready to for a humorous night, featuring comedians Sommore, Lavell Crawford, Don DC Curry, Tony Roberts, Speacial K, and Teddy Carpenter.
Tedeschi Trucks Band, Saturday, March 9, 8 p.m., Hippodrome Theatre. The Grammy Award-winning 12-piece rock and soul group Tedeschi Trucks Band will perform at the Hippodrome Theatre. The group is led by husband and wife, guitarist Derek Trucks and singer/guitarist Susan Tedeschi.
GameFace Con, Saturday, March 9, and Sunday, March 10, Peabody Heights Brewery. Play tabletop role-playing games and board games, shop from vendors, and meet creators at this new tabeltop game convention.
St. Patrick 5K and Parade, Sunday, March 10, 699 Washington Place. Baltimore will be awash in emerald green this Sunday during an early celebration of St. Patrick’s Day. There will be a 10:45 a.m. Mass, followed by the 5K race at 1 p.m., and a parade at 2 p.m. These are rain or shine events. Parking restrictions begin at 9 a.m.
Bromo Seltzer Tower Tour, Sunday, March 10, 11 a.m., Bromo Seltzer Arts Tower. Learn about the history of the Bromo Seltzer Arts Tower and even visit the clockworks. There will be two tours of the tower (one at 11 a.m., and the other at 12 p.m.).
