Baltimore Lab School Summer Program:
Where Learning Differences Are Strengths
Baltimore Lab School’s Summer Program offers a structured, engaging option for families seeking academic support and confidence-building for children who learn differently. Designed for students with ADHD, dyslexia, and other learning disabilities, the four-week program (from July 6 – July 31) blends targeted academics with hands-on, creative learning that keeps students motivated all summer long.
Students benefit from small-group instruction in reading, writing, and math, led by licensed special educators who understand how learning differences impact attention, processing, and confidence. Lessons are arts-integrated and experiential, helping students retain skills over the summer break.
Programs are thoughtfully tailored by age and grade level. Younger students continue to build foundational skills through themed academic clubs, creative projects, outdoor exploration, and cooking activities. Middle schoolers focus on skill reinforcement, organization, and independence, while high school students engage in experiential learning that emphasizes communication, problem-solving, and real-world application.
In addition to on-campus learning, students enjoy field trips and off-site swimming activities that boost social skills, independence, and confidence. By summer’s end, students don’t just maintain academic progress—they return to school feeling capable, connected, and ready to learn.
