In Its Second Year, Lillie May Carroll Jackson School Makes Strides

Eight years ago, then Baltimore City Schools Superintendent Dr. Andres Alonso brought independent school leaders together to discuss education in Baltimore City.  He asked them to suggest ways to improve the city’s school system.  Their solution: start a new charter school for girls that would serve a larger percentage of the population and live on beyond their administrations. The suggestion resulted in the creation of the Lillie May Carroll Jackson Charter School in Govans.

Last week, Garrison Forest School hosted its second annual STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art/design and math) Week for its fourth and fifth grade students.

Join us for a Prospective Parent Visiting Day and discover Garrison Forest School.  Throughout fall 2014, we offer Parent Prospective Visiting Days for parents of students for Twos through 11th Grade.

Registration is required for these parents-only events. Most students will spend time during a school day as part of their application process or visit with us for their evaluation.
