The 2018 Baltimore Orioles continue to find new levels of misery, as they did last night when starting pitcher Dylan Bundy gave up seven runs without recording an out in the 1st inning.

Woof.

Sports Illustrated poked fun at the absurdly high first-inning score using the conga line bit from “Baseball Bugs,” the classic 1946 short in which Bugs Bunny goes from heckling the big galoots in the Gas-House Gorillas to playing against them on the diamond himself.

Compounding the blow, the Twitter account for “Looney Tunes” tweeted, as Bugs, to offer pitching help.

Hey @Orioles, just make the call! I’m available, Docs! pic.twitter.com/qoxbRUUnL5

It’s a sad state of affairs when your team is getting owned by Bugs Bunny.

To the credit of the Orioles’ social media team, they were able to dish it right back.

For the record, we’d call up Tweety Bird first. pic.twitter.com/sPOjNgvGW7

Still, can it get any lower than being trolled by a cartoon? I sure hope not.
