People aren’t the only ones who like summer fun. Dogs like parties too. In the spirit of dog fun, the Maryland SPCA will host its Wine and Wag happy hour on Friday, July 13 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at 3300 Falls Road in Hampden. Along with beer, wine, complimentary hors d’oeuvres and tours of the adoption center, there will be activities for dogs including off-leash play in the fun runs, bobbing for hot dogs and paw painting. The party will benefit the homeless dogs in the adoption center.
“Our Wine and Wag events are a great way for the community to come together, enjoy a beautiful Friday evening and help the homeless pets at the Maryland SPCA,” said Aileen Gabbey, executive director.
Tickets are $10 per person in advance and $15 at the MD SPCA gate. Children may attend with an adult but must also pay the full ticket price. Free admission for dogs—one dog per person permitted. Dogs must be leashed except when inside play runs.
This is the second of three summer Wine and Wag Happy Hours sponsored by Cabot Cheese and The Wine Source. The last Wine and Wag Happy Hour takes place on August 10.
