The Cordish Family Foundation, which is the benevolent arm of the family that founded development firm, The Cordish Companies, announced grant to fund a new Judy Center. The “lead gift” will fund a “suite” of five new Judy Centers opening in the city.
Established in 2000, the Centers help prepare at-risk youth for school before they enter kindergarten by connecting services.
“I live and work in Baltimore City, and this is an opportunity, at a critical time, to help its at-risk children get the services they need to succeed in their critical early years in school,” said Cordish Family Foundation Trustee Jonathan Cordish.
The amount of the gift was not disclosed.
