When Michael Phelps takes to Instagram, it means big news is coming. On Wednesday, the Baltimore Bullet announced he will soon be a father.
“We found out over eight weeks ago we were expecting,” Phelps wrote in a post with a poolside photo of himself and fiancee, Nicole Johnson. “Today we’re over 12 weeks and it looks like we’re having a boy!”
Like his post after getting engaged to Nicole Johnson eight months ago, Phelps’ announcement was met with a mixed emotions. The disappointment comes not in the news itself, but what it means: Phelps is really off the market.
Phelps, who is training for the 2016 Olympics, is on the cover of this month’s edition of Sports Illustrated for a story about his comeback following last year’s DUI arrest in Baltimore.
