A big water main break has York Road shut down just north of the Hunt Valley Mall.
According to Baltimore County police, the 20 in. water main break happened this morning between McCormick Rd. and Phoenix Rd. Repairs continued into the afternoon, with traffic diverted to I-83 as an alternate. Here’s what was left:

Repairs are expected to continue into the night, with customers in Sparks and Hunt Valley expected to lose water service from 6-9 p.m.
